What shipped
Handoff Receipt is a self-contained browser tool for a 60-second shift change. Title the task, set from→to (person or role), pick urgency (Low / Med / High), then fill context, decisions made, open questions, next actions, and links/files. A live preview renders a clean markdown receipt; Copy receipt dumps it to the clipboard for Slack, Notion, or an agent prompt. Next-action lines become markdown checkboxes. Presets cover End-of-day self, Agent→human, and Client project handoff. Optional localStorage under handoff-receipt-v1. No accounts, no network beyond fonts.
How to try
- Open the live demo (iframe on the right, or full-page link below).
- Load a preset (start with End-of-day self) or fill your own packet.
- Watch the markdown receipt update live as you type.
- Hit Copy receipt and paste into Slack, a doc, or the next agent session.
Scope trim
No shared links, no accounts, no Slack/API send, and no multi-party threads. One packet, one markdown dump, local persistence only. Urgency is a label for the reader — not a pager or calendar block.
Limitations
- Checklist items are plain markdown
- [ ]lines — they do not sync to any task system. - Clipboard copy needs permission; otherwise select the receipt manually.
- Timestamps use the browser’s America/Chicago-friendly locale formatting when available.
- Not a project management tool — use it to hand off cleanly, then track work elsewhere.
Suggested next steps
- Optional “paste into agent system prompt” one-click framing block.
- Tiny template library beyond the three presets (on-call, design critique).
- Export a .md download in addition to clipboard copy.
